Green Coffee - Mexico - Finca Fulda Canephora/Robusta Romex (Washed)

Rainer Böhme comes from Fulda, in the middle of Germany, and emigrated to Mexico as a student, where he bought land over the years. He lovingly calls his farm "Finca Fulda" in memory of his homeland.

There he tries to produce coffee in the most environmentally friendly way possible, as Rainer has great respect for the future of coffee, climate change and the safety of the local population. The processing methods are designed to save as much water as possible. The fields have various tree species as well as protected forest areas for wildlife. The farm is Rainforest Alliance certified.

Rainer runs a school for the local community on Finca Fulda, which the children of the short-term workers also attend. All workers and their families who live on the farm, either short-term or long-term, are provided with free food from the main kitchen. The farm also has a soccer field, which serves as a recreational opportunity for the community.

In addition to the production of Robusta and Arabica coffee, the finca also grows orchids for the local market and for export.
