Farm: Campo Hermoso

The Campo Hermoso farm is owned by Edwin Noreña, a COE judge in Colombia, Q-grader, Q-processor and former coffee consultant for various farms. With more than 20 years of experience in the world of specialty coffee, Edwin is one of the pioneers of this industry in Colombia. Campo Hermoso has been in Edwin's family since his childhood.

Edwin's deep dive into the specialty coffee world began when he joined SENA in Colombia (SENA is an institution that offers free educational programs and operates one of the largest coffee centers in Armenia, one of the most important coffee cities). At SENA, Edwin became a green coffee selection instructor. As he continued to learn, he grew professionally and after 10 years at SENA, he began working as a private consultant to coffee farms. The farms he consulted include Puerto Alegre, El Placer and Primitivo, to name a few.

Always eager to share his knowledge, Edwin saw business opportunities with these farms, so he founded the Santuario project, but unfortunately things did not go as expected. So in 2020 he decided to focus fully on his own finca Campo Hermoso. Currently, Edwin also buys coffee cherries from other farms in Colombia and processes them on his finca.
